Greetings Students and Parents,

It is with great sadness that I would like to let everyone know that I resigned my teaching positition at Worley.

I know that I will leave with the confidence that the students in the Worley Band program will continue the great work that was started the year before last. I know that the officers will do everything they can to help the new director find his/her place here at Worley. I also know that the new director will have the most wonderful group of parents to help them out as he/she goes through the year.

Please see the attached schedule for our 2008 Summer Band Camp. We hope every one can make it to band camp and to the Rangers baseball game.

We are checking out instruments on the 16th of June from 9:00-12:00. Please call and reserve a time. This way we know how many instruments we need to get to everyone for the summer. We may not have enough because of summer repairs.

Greeting Students & Parents,

The Honor Winds submitted a final C.D. of their contest music to the Texas Honor Band Competition. Our C.D. came out 2nd at the Region Level. Howard Middle School was first. We will advance to Area from which they will select two to go on to State. The C.D. will be heard in Midland, Odessa on June 19th. We'll keep you posted on the results.

Contratulations to all!!!! this is a first for Worley. Everyone worked really hard this year and I couldn't be more proud of the work ethic our Worley Band students displayed all year.
