The Worley Tiger Band began when the school opened its doors in the spring of 1986. The Worley Band is the oldest middle school band in Mansfield I.S.D. and has enjoyed a rich history of success. The Worley Band has earned numerous U.I.L. sweepstakes awards as well as Most Outstanding Bands at the Schlitterbahn Water Park Music Festival. Most recently the Worley Tiger Band earned top honors, including Top Overall Ensemble, at the Peak Music Festival in Denton. Mr. Bob Denton led the very first Worley Band and was the only head director the Worley Band had until his retirement in 2004. Mrs. Kelly Kading took over the program in 2005 and with the help of Miss. Beth Wiebe the Worley Band continued it’s tradition of excellence. In 2006 Ms. Maria Chadwell took over the reigns of the Worley Tiger Band. Mr. Michael Reddell joined Ms. Chadwell and together they took the Worley Tiger Band to new heights. In 2007 Mr. Jeff Hood joined Ms. Chadwell as the assistant director.
